ABOUT US
DOS DOS is nonpartisan, nonprofit, multiethnic, non governmental organization funded and registered in Split, Croatia in 1992. DOS deals with the promotion and protection of human rights by providing free legal services to individuals and groups in the Republic of Croatia, regardless of their nationality, religion, gender, political orientation or other belongings. From the beginning, DOS is committed to development of democratic society and strengthening of the rule of law.
DOS works in areas of Dalmatia and Lika through 9 legal offices in Split, Knin, Gračac, Benkovac, Zadar, Kistanje, Obrovac, Donji Lapac and Donji Srb. DOS HQ is in Split. DOS is governed by voluntary Coordination Board which consists of President, the lawyer Mrs. Iva Nenadić Vuletić and 4 members from different DOS operating areas.
DOS vision: Prosper, civic, democratic society integrated in European Union.
DOS mission: Promotion and protection of human rights, economic development of community and providing of social support/services to individuals and groups regardless of their nationality, religion, gender or any other belongings, though contributing to development of democracy, economy, legal and social state.

LEGAL SERVICE NEEDS
- Legal services, support and representation of citizens who's human rights are violated
- Monitoring of all types of discrimination
- Right for fair and legal trial (court procedure)
- Advocacy for law changes
SOCIAL / HUMANITARIAN NEEDS
- Humanitarian aid for returnees, settlers and poor citizens
- Social and health needs
DOS goals are activities in following fields of work:
- Protection of human rights of all citizens who's rights are violated;
- Promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of RC;
- Providing of legal and other services to individuals and groups, violence victims and/or any type of discrimination;
- Activities related to changes of legislation in area of human rights protection;
- Struggle against all types of violence and appeal for peaceful conflict resolution;
- Assistance to disabled persons and other war victims.
